Commercial Catering Equipment Auctions
UK catering equipment auctions from restaurant, pub, and hotel closures with online bidding and nationwide collection.
Catering equipment direct from working venues and refurbishments
Universal Auctions Group runs UK auctions of commercial catering equipment sourced from a few distinct routes: restaurant closures and lease exits, pub disposals, hotel kitchen and bar refurbishments, dark kitchen and ghost-kitchen wind-downs, and contract catering changes where an operator hands a site back. Stock can range from a single piece of working equipment through to a full multi-station kitchen line dismantled for sale.
Each lot is photographed in situ where the venue is still on site, with brand, model, condition, and visible damage recorded. Where equipment is still operational at cataloguing, working status is noted. Standard sale terms are sold-as-seen with no PAT or Gas Safe certification supplied as default. Buyers should price recertification and any reinstallation costs such as gas reconnect, water plumbing, and extraction commissioning into their bid.

Combi ovens (Rational, Convotherm), convection ovens, deck pizza ovens, ranges and salamanders (Falcon, Lincat, Mareno), chargrills, fryers (Henny Penny, Pitco, Valentine), induction and gas hobs, and high-volume prep equipment from Robot Coupe, Buffalo, and Hobart. Hot service equipment including bain-maries, hot holding cabinets, heated gantries, and pass-through hot lines. Each listing records gas type or electrical phase, dimensions for site planning, brand, model, and any visible wear or impact damage on the body and burners.

Walk-in fridges and freezers including modular panel systems (often supplied with the original installation drawings where the seller retains them), upright and counter fridges from Foster, Williams, Polar, and True, display chillers, serve-over counters, blast chillers, and ice machines from Hoshizaki, Manitowoc, and Scotsman. Walk-in cold rooms require dismantling and reinstallation, and buyers should factor in qualified refrigeration engineer support for F-gas refrigerant recovery and reinstall. Capacity, refrigerant type (R134a, R290, R452a), and any compressor or motor replacement history are disclosed where recorded.

Commercial espresso machines (La Marzocco, Wega, Astoria, Sanremo) across 2 and 3 group configurations with boiler size and group head count noted, bean-to-cup machines, bottle coolers, beer dispense systems, cellar cooling units, and glasswashers. For bar buyers and small-site operators, smaller-lot auctions include glassware, cutlery, crockery, and bar smallwares in mixed bulk lots. Listings on espresso equipment include service history where dealer records are available, which matters for warranty and parts availability.

Registration is open to trade and non-trade buyers with no preferential bidding access for trade accounts. Lots are sold-as-seen with PAT testing, Gas Safe certification, and F-gas compliance not supplied as standard. Buyers commissioning equipment into commercial use should plan for testing and recertification, particularly for gas-fired cooking equipment, refrigeration with regulated refrigerants, and any equipment requiring fixed electrical installation. Collection is from the lot site within 7 days of payment clearance. For multi-piece kitchen lines, we can connect buyers with logistics partners for dismantle, transport, and reinstall.
