By registering with UAG, placing a bid and/or making payment, the Buyer expressly authorises UAG to disclose the Buyer's and Seller's contact details to the other party and to transfer the relevant sale proceeds to the Seller for the purpose of facilitating collection, delivery and completion of the transaction.
The Buyer acknowledges and agrees that UAG acts solely as auctioneer, agent and intermediary and is not a party to the contract of sale, which exists solely between the Buyer and the Seller.
The Buyer further acknowledges and agrees that the disclosure of contact information and transfer of funds pursuant to this clause is necessary for the performance of the contract and expressly consents to such disclosure and processing of personal and business data for these purposes.
Accordingly, the Buyer irrevocably waives any right to object to, challenge or bring any claim, complaint, action or proceedings against UAG, its directors, employees, agents or the Seller arising from or connected with the disclosure of such information, the release of funds to the Seller, or any action taken by UAG in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the authority granted herein.

3.4. Bidding on any Lot(s) does not necessarily require the Account Holder to be the prevailing highest bidder to secure the item. Universal Auctions Group retains the right to submit all bids to the Vendor(s) for assessment. As such, bids placed by the Account Holder on single or multiple lots remain valid for 24 hours after the sale's conclusion.
3.5. Should the Vendor(s) decide to accept your ‘Maximum Bid’ placed, the ‘Account Holder’ will be notified within 24 hours of the auctions ending by receiving your winning payable invoice with a set payment deadline.

4.1. Universal Auctions Group reserves the unequivocal right to withdraw or remove any Lot(s) listed within any sale at any time without providing advance notice to the Account Holder or other parties.
4.2. Pertaining to 'Timed Auctions', the Company reserves the right to amend, alter, or modify the designated end times for any Lot(s) without precedent notice.
4.3. Vendor Responsibility for Availability and Supply
All Lots are offered for sale by Universal Auctions Group Ltd ("UAG") solely in its capacity as auctioneer, agent and intermediary for the Vendor. The contract for the sale and supply of the Lot is between the Buyer and the Vendor.
By registering to bid, accepting these Terms and Conditions and/or placing a bid, the Buyer expressly acknowledges and agrees that responsibility for the continued availability, possession, release, delivery and supply of any Lot rests with the Vendor and not with UAG.
4.4. Vendor Failure to Supply or Release a Lot
Where, following the conclusion of an auction, acceptance of a bid and/or payment by the Buyer, the Vendor fails, refuses or is unable to supply, release, deliver or otherwise make the Lot available to the Buyer for any reason whatsoever, such failure shall be the responsibility of the Vendor.
This includes, without limitation, circumstances where the Vendor:
(a) sells or disposes of the Lot to another party;
(b) withdraws the Lot after sale;
(c) no longer has possession or control of the Lot;
(d) is unable to locate the Lot;
(e) refuses or fails to release the Lot;
(f) provides incorrect information concerning the ownership, location or availability of the Lot;
(g) becomes insolvent, ceases trading or is otherwise unable to complete the transaction; or
(h) otherwise fails to fulfil its obligation to make the Lot available to the Buyer.
The Buyer expressly acknowledges that UAG does not have possession or physical control of Vendor Lots and cannot guarantee the Vendor's subsequent performance of its obligations.
4.5. Payment to Vendor and Limitation of UAG Liability
The Buyer acknowledges and expressly agrees that, following receipt of cleared funds from the Buyer, UAG may account to or release the hammer price together with any applicable VAT to the Vendor prior to the Buyer collecting, receiving or taking possession of the Lot.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the Buyer expressly authorises such payment to the Vendor and accepts that payment by UAG to the Vendor does not make UAG the owner, seller, supplier or principal in respect of the Lot and does not transfer the Vendor's obligations to UAG.
Where the Vendor subsequently fails, refuses or is unable to supply, release or otherwise make the Lot available, the Buyer agrees that any claim arising from the Vendor's failure to perform the contract of sale shall be against the Vendor and not against UAG.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UAG shall not be liable to the Buyer for the Vendor's failure, refusal or inability to supply or release the Lot, nor for any loss arising solely as a consequence of that failure.
Where monies paid by the Buyer remain in UAG's possession and have not been accounted to the Vendor, UAG may, at its discretion, cancel the transaction and return the relevant monies to the Buyer.
Where the relevant monies have already been accounted to or paid to the Vendor, UAG may take reasonable steps to seek recovery of those monies from the Vendor. The Buyer expressly acknowledges and agrees that UAG shall not be required to reimburse the Buyer from UAG's own funds in respect of monies which have already been paid to the Vendor, unless and until such monies are recovered from the Vendor or UAG otherwise agrees to do so.
UAG may, at its discretion, assist the Buyer by providing relevant Vendor contact details or facilitating communications between the Buyer and Vendor. Any such assistance shall not constitute an acceptance of liability by UAG or make UAG a party to the underlying contract of sale.
UAG shall not, to the fullest extent permitted by law, be responsible for any consequential or additional loss resulting from a Vendor's failure to supply or release a Lot, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of use, loss of opportunity, finance charges, transport costs, accommodation costs or the cost of acquiring an alternative item.
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or restrict any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

5.2. All Buyers Premium charges are subject to VAT @ 20%.
5.3. An internet surcharge may apply to certain auctions or lots at the Auctioneer’s discretion. Where applicable, the rate of the internet surcharge will be clearly stated in the relevant auction catalogue, lot details and/or registration information before bidding. No internet surcharge will apply unless it has been expressly disclosed for that auction or lot.
6.0. VAT Charges
6.1. All lots will be subject to VAT @ 20%. Which is applicable to the Hammer Price and the buyer’s premium/fees. Unless otherwise stated in the lot description.
6.2. Some Lots may be sold with no vat on the hammer price. Refer to the lot description for clarification.
7.0. VAT Refunds / Export
7.1. Buyers intending to export a Lot will be charged an additional deposit equal to the VAT due on each Lot purchased.
7.2. To qualify for a refund, the Goods must be exported in accordance with relevant export regulations. Valid written evidence of compliance should be sent by the Buyer to the vendor at their registered address and to the Auctioneer via email (admin@universalauctions.group) within 28 days of the date of invoice. The auctioneer does not take ownership of any goods sold in the auction and therefore accepts no liability for VAT refunds unless specifically agreed with all parties prior to the sale. The auctioneer’s role is to facilitate communication between buyer and seller.
7.3. If satisfactory evidence is not provided, goods will be subject to UK VAT at the standard rate of export, and the Buyer will forfeit any deposit they may have paid in accordance with clause 7.1.
7.4. The Auctioneer cannot refund the VAT on the Buyers’ Premium under any circumstances.
7.5. If the Buyer chooses to export their purchases using their own transport, VAT will be levied and refunded upon satisfactory documentation supporting the removal of the Goods purchased, assuming the terms of clause 7.2 are satisfied.
7.6. Notwithstanding any other clause in these Conditions, the Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse:
to accept any Bid from a Bidder; or
to sell any Lot (in whole or in part) to a Buyer.
7.7. While Universal Auctions Group Ltd does not arrange shipping or export documentation, we will, upon request, include additional details on invoices—such as commodity codes, weights, and similar data—to assist buyers. It is, however, the sole responsibility of the buyer to procure and supply any specific information they wish to have included on the invoice. Universal Auctions Group Ltd accepts no liability for the accuracy or provision of such information.
8.0. Viewing of Lots
8.1. Viewing of all Lots shall be available strictly by prior appointment and is strongly recommended. The Buyer hereby acknowledges that he, she or they has or have been afforded every reasonable opportunity to inspect and examine the Lots prior to the submission of any bid.
The condition, state of repair, completeness and operational capability of each Lot shall be deemed to have been fully investigated and accepted by the bidder before bidding. All inspections and viewings are conducted entirely at his, her or their sole risk.
The Auctioneer shall accept no liability for any loss, defect, damage or omission which would have been revealed upon the undertaking of a reasonable inspection. No rebate, allowance, rescission or claim of any nature whatsoever shall be entertained by reason of a bidder’s failure to view or adequately inspect a Lot. Bidders are expressly cautioned against placing any bid unless he, she or they has or have first satisfied himself, herself or themselves, by personal examination, as to the Lot’s condition and suitability, and acknowledge that written descriptions and photographic representations are provided for general guidance only and are not to be relied upon exclusively.
All Lots are offered for sale on the basis that they may require repair, restoration, or other attention, and are not warranted as fit for any specific purpose. By submitting a bid, the bidder confirms that he, she or they has or have duly considered all risks contemplated under these Terms and Conditions and that the bid has been made accordingly.
8.2. Without prejudice to the foregoing provisions, where a bidder elects to place a bid without having first undertaken a physical inspection of the Lot and/or without having carried out such due diligence as he, she or they consider necessary or prudent, such bidder shall do so entirely at his, her or their own risk.
By the act of submitting a bid, the bidder expressly acknowledges and agrees that he, she or they has or have had adequate opportunity to inspect the Lot and to make all appropriate enquiries and has or have either undertaken such inspection and enquiries or voluntarily elected not to do so.
In such circumstances, the bidder hereby irrevocably waives and relinquishes any and all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against the Auctioneer and/or the Seller in respect of any defect, deficiency, misdescription, damage, condition issue, authenticity concern, or any other matter whatsoever which would have been revealed, in whole or in part, by reasonable inspection or due diligence.
The submission of a bid shall constitute the bidder’s explicit agreement to, and acceptance of, the terms of this waiver, which shall be binding upon the bidder upon the fall of the hammer or other conclusion of the sale.
9.0. Description Accuracy
All details, descriptions and particulars relating to each Lot are provided in good faith and are based upon information available at the time of publication. Such particulars are supplied for general guidance only and shall not constitute, nor be deemed to constitute, any statement, representation or warranty of fact. The Auctioneer reserves the absolute right to amend, update, supplement or withdraw any such particulars at any time prior to the conclusion of the auction should further information become available.
The Auctioneer shall be under no obligation to verify, validate or investigate the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any information provided to, or made available by, it, including (without limitation) information contained in catalogues, online listings, advertisements, promotional materials or any other documentation issued from time to time. No representation or warranty is given as to the accuracy or completeness of such information, and any reliance placed upon it shall be entirely at the risk of the person placing such reliance.
In particular, the Auctioneer shall not be liable for any error, omission or inaccuracy in information obtained from or dependent upon third-party sources, including (without limitation) the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA), HPI, or any comparable authority, database or service provider. For the avoidance of doubt, the Auctioneer undertakes no duty to audit, corroborate or scrutinise such third-party information and shall bear no responsibility arising from reliance thereon.
It is an express condition of participation in the auction that each prospective bidder, prior to submitting any bid, satisfies himself, herself or themselves, by independent inspection and such enquiries as he, she or they considers appropriate, as to the quality, condition, state of repair, description, authenticity, provenance, dimensions, mileage, operational hours and/or damage of any Lot. Where any such matters are material to the bidder’s decision to bid, the bidder shall rely solely upon his, her or their own investigations and not upon any particulars or information provided by the Auctioneer.
9.1. As an agent of the seller, Universal Auctions Group provides lot descriptions based on information furnished by the seller. However, we do not warrant the accuracy of these descriptions.
9.2. Buyers are encouraged to thoroughly inspect images and descriptions and seek further information if required before bidding.
9.3. All lots are sold "as seen," and no guarantees or warranties, whether expressed or implied, are provided. It is the ‘account holders’ responsibility to do their own due diligence.
9.4. Descriptions/images are provided by the seller at the time of listing.
9.5. Each Lot which has a mileage/hour reading in the description is not to be deemed as ‘Warranted’ unless otherwise stated.
9.6. All lots are offered on an “as seen, where lying” basis, subject to not having been sold or withdrawn, and without any express or implied warranties. No representation is made that any lot is roadworthy, mechanically sound, or maintained to any specific standard. Lots may not be suitable for use and may require significant repairs at the buyer’s expense. It is possible that the lots may not be of satisfactory quality.
You acknowledge and agree that we exclude, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability under terms which might otherwise be implied into the Contract of Sale by the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended), including—without limitation—terms relating to conformity with description or fitness for a particular purpose.
We expressly disclaim the accuracy or completeness of any and all information provided regarding the lots, whether in written, verbal or digital image form. This information is provided solely for convenience and must not be relied upon when deciding whether to bid or determining your bid amount. Such information may include (but is not limited to): year, make, model, condition, type and extent of damage, roadworthiness, drivability, accessories, mileage, odometer readings, vehicle identification numbers (VIN), title or registration, required repairs, estimated repair costs, repair history, title history, service history and write-off history.
We make no representations, warranties or guarantees—whether oral or written—regarding any of the lots offered for sale. Lots may be incomplete or missing parts. We do not guarantee that any vehicle will comply with, or can be adapted to meet, local emissions, safety or legislative requirements. It remains your sole responsibility to assess, confirm, research, inspect and/or investigate all relevant details about a lot before placing a bid and determining how much to bid, having taken all of the above into account. By bidding, you agree that you have been provided with sufficient information to make an informed decision.
You should not assume that odometer readings are accurate. While we may attempt to verify mileage, even where marked as “verified”, this verification is based only on information available at the time of listing and is given as a guide only—not as a warranty. No mileage is warranted unless the listing explicitly states “warranted”.
Expectations of condition may differ between bidders, especially for previously owned items such as used vehicles. Accordingly, each vehicle is shown in multiple high-resolution images that can be enlarged to full screen. In some cases, library images may be used where multiple similar lots are available. No claims will be entertained for defects visible in photographs which the bidder failed to examine properly before bidding.
Minor or cosmetic damage—including repairable dents, scratches, cracked or broken glass or plastic, paintwork issues or surface rust—should be expected in line with the vehicle’s age, mileage and general use, and shall not be regarded as material defects affecting the safety or function of the vehicle.
Lot descriptions are provided in good faith based on information available at the time of listing, but are intended solely as general guidance and should not be considered binding representations of fact. These details may be updated before the auction closes should additional information become available. It is a condition of bidding that bidders conduct their own enquiries where matters such as dimensions, mileage, usage hours, condition or authenticity are material to their decision.
All lots are available for inspection by prior appointment and we strongly encourage all bidders to view before placing any bid. The buyer acknowledges that they have had a reasonable opportunity to examine and inspect the lots. The condition and operability of a lot is therefore deemed to have been confirmed by the bidder prior to bidding. Viewing is undertaken entirely at the bidder’s own risk, and we accept no liability for issues which could have been identified upon reasonable inspection. No post-sale adjustments, claims or allowances of any kind will be considered due to failure to view. If you have not inspected a lot to your satisfaction, you are strongly advised not to bid. Our descriptions and photographs alone should not be solely relied upon for the purpose of bidding.
All lots are sold with the assumption that some level of repair or attention may be required, and they may not be suitable for any specific purpose. By placing a bid, the bidder confirms that they have accounted for all associated risks as outlined in these terms and have bid accordingly.
9.7. Universal Auctions Group conducts a basic check on each vehicle to ascertain that it is not stolen. We rely on the provided information and, as a third party, cannot be held liable for any inaccuracies. Universal Auctions Group does not perform checks for insurance write-offs and therefore cannot provide advice regarding a vehicle's involvement in previous accidents. It is incumbent upon bidders to conduct their own investigations regarding a vehicle's insurance history where it is deemed critical. Furthermore, bidders are required to carry out their own investigations concerning outstanding finance or title, as Universal Auctions Group shall not bear any liability should these checks not be completed prior to the placement of a bid. In the event that outstanding finance is discovered after the purchase, the buyer must address the issue directly with the seller, as Universal Auctions Group is not a party to the contract between the buyer and the seller.
