Our online HGV auctions can feature vehicles from leading manufacturers including DAF, Volvo, Scania, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Iveco, Renault and other commercial vehicle brands.

Depending on the stock entered by our vendors, auctions may include both rigid HGVs and articulated tractor units together with a wide range of body types.

These can include: Tractor units, Tippers, Dropside, Trucks, Curtainsiders, Box trucks, Flatbeds, Refrigerated vehicles, Skip loaders, Hook loaders, Grab lorries, Recovery vehicles, Tankers, Specialist-purpose HGVs

Information such as mileage, MOT status, plated weights, body specification, service history, tachograph information or fitted equipment may be included where it has been supplied by the vendor or is otherwise available.

Buyers must not assume that every item of documentation or vehicle information will be available for every lot.

The individual lot description should always be checked before bidding.

Our commercial vehicle sales can also include panel vans, Luton vans, pickups, crew vans, minibuses and other light commercial vehicles.

Previous use can vary considerably. Vehicles may have originated from fleet, utility, contractor, rental, leasing, local business or other commercial environments before being entered into auction by their current vendor.

The description “ex-fleet” refers to previous use and does not necessarily mean that the current vendor is the original fleet operator.

Where previous ownership, use or provenance is specifically known and supplied to us, this may be stated within the lot description.

Specialist commercial vehicles can be difficult to source through conventional dealer stock.

Our auctions may include vehicles built or converted for construction, utilities, highways, waste management, engineering, transport and other commercial applications.

Where details of auxiliary equipment, body specification, lifting equipment, conversions or other fitted components are supplied by the vendor, they may be included in the lot description.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, buyers should not assume that auxiliary equipment has been tested by Universal Auctions Group.

Lot descriptions and photographs are provided to help trade buyers identify vehicles that may be suitable for their requirements.

Information may include, where available: Make and model, Registration number, Year, Mileage, MOT information, Body type, Gross or plated weight, Transmission, Fuel type, Service records, V5C availability, Specialist equipment, Additional documentation supplied by the vendor

Universal Auctions Group does not mechanically inspect, test or certify vehicles and does not warrant mileage, condition, mechanical operation, specifications, service history or fitness for purpose.

Buyers are responsible for carrying out their own research and due diligence before bidding.

Viewing is strongly recommended where the condition, specification or suitability of a vehicle is important to your purchasing decision.

Where a registration number is available, Universal Auctions Group carries out the vehicle data check described within our Terms & Conditions before the vehicle is listed.

This check should not be treated as:

• a mechanical inspection

• a condition report

• a mileage guarantee

• a title guarantee

• a finance guarantee

• an insurance-history guarantee

• a substitute for the buyer's own enquiries

Trade buyers should carry out any additional vehicle history, finance, title, MOT or other checks they consider necessary before placing a bid.

Universal Auctions Group's commercial vehicle auctions are conducted online, enabling approved trade buyers to bid without travelling to a physical auction hall.

Once registered and approved, bidders can:

* Check the location of individual vehicles

* Review the buyer's premium and applicable VAT treatment

* Place bids online

* Follow timed auctions remotely

Our sales are trade-only and bidders must participate in a business capacity.

Approved overseas trade buyers can participate in our online auctions subject to our registration requirements and Terms & Conditions.

Commercial vehicles purchased for export remain subject to the VAT treatment shown for the individual lot.

Where VAT is held as an export deposit, buyers are responsible for arranging transport, customs clearance and export documentation and for supplying the evidence required under our Terms & Conditions within the applicable timeframe.

Universal Auctions Group does not arrange international shipping or customs/export documentation on behalf of buyers.
